Inverter faults
Solar Inverter Faults
The most common fault we deal with is where the inverter has stopped functioning. This might be a complete shutdown or showing an error message. This could be due to an inverter fault, such as a failed relay, or it can be that the inverter has detected a fault and has shut down.
Inverter faults require two repair visits, one to diagnose the fault and then one to repair or replace the inverter.
Faults
Environmental Damage
Installing a solar inverter in location with high temperatures the inverter can be exposed to unhealthy levels of heat.
Faults
Overvoltage
It is quite common in the UK to see high grid voltages way in excess of the perceived 240V line voltage we have historically transmitted.
Insulation Faults
Trapped DC Cables
Fault can be the result of a poor connection on a made up connector or water ingress to the same.
Solar Inverter Replace or Upgrade
If your inverter has come to the end of its warranty, we can replace it with an inverter which has a ten year warranty. There are also upgrade options available for a premium system with a twenty year warranty that will outlast your Feed in Tariff.
